Customer Review: Easy to use, great battery life

I'm not much into video production, and HD doesn't have much appeal to me, so I am enjoying this camcorder.
I purchased this for a Hawai'i vacation that is coming up, so I can edit this review later.
So far, I've mainly taken video of my cats LOL.
The videos come out nicely. It is very easy to view the videos on my TV straight from the camcorder using the RCA cable that is included.
Sound came out nicely without a lot of background noise.
The buttons are well placed, and they are easy to use for someone with arthritis.
The viewfinder screen is very easy to see.
Menus are easy to navigate, even without reading the manual.
It does seem to have excellent battery life, which was why I chose this product over its competitors. I am getting the 4 hours of battery life on a full charge.
*****I haven't had a problem with the lens getting scratched or dirty, but I do wish it had a lens cover of some sort. (Mayidunk has pointed out to me that the unit has a slide for the lens cover, which I missed! Editing review and upgrading to 5 stars)
I also wish it came with a neck lanyard or something in addition to the hand strap.
