If your looking for a small but very capable laser printer for personal or home office use, this Samsung is an excellent choice.In addition to its attractive appearance, small size, and fast print speed, this printer also has very good quality output for text and graphics. The only minor drawbacks I can claim have been mentioned by others: noise during operation (quiet when in sleep mode) and first print warm-up of about 30 seconds (actually quite good for printers in this range, but slower than some inkjets). I also had problems with feeding very thick cardstock without having the paper slip in the roller and print slightly askew. But despite that difficulty, the paper feed options are still above average for this class of printer.
All in all, this is an excellent choice for anyone looking for economical, high quality B&W home printing.
Description of Samsung ML-1750 Laser Printer
166MHZ GDI PCL 6The Samsung ML-1750 features powerful printing performance with fast 16 ppm (letter at 17 ppm) print speed and a powerful 166 MHz processor. Enjoy 1200 dpi-class resolution (1,200 x 600 dpi) and 8 MB memory that's sufficient even for big printing jobs.
Standard emulations include PCL6, IBMProPrinter, and Epson. Convenience features include IEEE 1284 parallel and high-speed USB 2.0 connectivity with OS support for Windows 98/Me/2000/XP, Mac OS (8.6), and various Linux implementations. An external network adapter is available as an option for expanding workgroups.
The ML-1750 is the smallest cassette type laser printer available at its release. Enjoy versatile paper handling, a 250-sheet cassette feeder, one manual slot, and slots for 50 sheets face down and one sheet face up. This model is backed by a one-year warranty on parts and labor.
